The handmade pasta joint Al Dente is expanding its authentic Italian goodness to the good people of Monument Square. The new dine-in location will join the Goodge Street restaurant in the growing repertoire. Simplicity really is at the heart of what Al Dente do, with much loved classics like carbonara, with its rich yellow egg yolks and pecorino and spaghettoni finished with the traditional guanciale, freshly prepared fusilli al pesto, and gnocchi ai quattro formaggi, potato dumplings lathered in taleggio, gorgonzola, parmesan, and pecorino and the house dish, ravioli al dente, infused with spinach, and filled with a sweet and savoury ricotta, mushroom, and truffle fondue. Al Dente really understands, there’s no reason to overcomplicate things.
With only 12 covers, this is one of the most intimate places to enjoy pasta in the capital on their terraced seating area. To celebrate the opening of their new restaurant, Al Dente will be offering 50% off all pasta dishes when dining in the new restaurant for the first 3 days followed by 25% for a further week. “We are so excited to bring our traditional hand crafted pasta to Monument,” says the owner Filippo Gallenzi.
